When the hydraulic check valve system fails, the pressure of the pipeline medium drops, and the valve plate closes under its own gravity. At this time, the hydraulic source electromagnetic directional valve of the control system receives a signal to change direction, causing the hydraulic source to enter the upper chamber of the auxiliary closing hydraulic cylinder, and together with the spring, pushes the hydraulic cylinder piston downward to help the valve plate close at a fast speed. After the valve plate is closed, it obtains a certain locking valve plate force from the auxiliary power device to prevent steam and cold water from flowing back in the pipeline system, protecting the main equipment such as the steam turbine.

The purpose of the hydraulic quick extraction check valve is to install it in the extraction horizontal pipeline leading from the low-pressure steam guide pipe of the steam turbine, mainly to prevent the backflow of steam in the extraction pipeline or in case of accidents, which may cause overspeed of the steam turbine.
